What is a shepherds hut

Shepherds huts were used in the UK in the 19th century so shepherds could stay in the hills during the lambing season. Today in the UK these huts are used for a variety of purposes. You can find them in many situations being used both commercially and privately.

What is a Salty Dog shepherds hut

Our huts are based on this traditional design but customised to suit your needs with 21st century technology for your convenience and comfort.

We have two designs. One is a road trailer that can be easily towed by your car to different venues. The other uses the traditional cast iron wheels and tends to be a semi permanent fixture but can be manoevered on your selected site.

The huts are customised to suit your needs. Their uses are many and include catering and mobile shop to office, extra accommodation, glamping, artist’s studio and childrens’ playroom

Externally the huts can be clad in Colourbond corrugated steel or your choice of timber painted or sealed.
